Paul Washer
About
Paul David Washer is a Baptist preacher, missionary, and author. After coming to faith while studying to become an oil and gas lawyer at the University of Texas, he enrolled at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where he earned a Master of Divinity. He then served as a missionary in Peru for over a decade, founding HeartCry Missionary Society in 1988 to support indigenous church planters. HeartCry has since expanded to support missionaries across Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America. Washer gained widespread attention through his viral "Shocking Youth Message" (2002), which challenged the superficiality of modern American Christianity. He is known for his passionate, gospel-centered Reformed preaching that emphasizes genuine repentance, true conversion, and the sovereignty of God in salvation.
